It might not be very pleasant, but kiwifruit skins are completely edible. If you can get past the hairy texture, the skins TRIPLE the fibre content of the fruit, which helps with your digestion and has a positive effect on your cholesterol.


Eating that hairy skin won’t sound appealing to most people, because it doesn’t exactly taste nice. So how do you make sure it’s at least somewhat nice to eat?

Well, all you have to do is brush the hairs off its skin and thoroughly rinse the kiwi under water. You can also cut up the kiwi with its skin still around it and add the pieces to a smoothie. We’re definitely going to try this soon!
