Pour half a bottle of vinegar on the surface of the rubber ring of your washing machine. After, close the lid of your washing machine and start a wash on the highest temperature possible. This way all of the bacteria will be removed by the heat. That is all, you don’t have to do anything else! Please note that if you do this, the vinegar can have a bad effect on your washing machine. Therefore, you should not use this method more than 4 times a year. Also, it is good to know that if you want to prevent bad odors, you shouldn’t close the door of your washing machine if it is not in use.
